ISSW offers a comprehensive Assessment and Management program for children and adults with swallowing and feeding problems (DYSPHAGIA). These services can be provided at our clinic at orchard or at the comfort of your homes or even at the nursing homes where your family member may be admitted.

Speech & Language Therapy for Children at ISSW

Early intervention is essential for children who have speech, language and communication difficulties. Our therapists will use a variety of play materials and games to assess your child's abilities in an informal child- friendly environment and make recommendations about the appropriate intervention- be it regular therapy at our clinic premises and/or exercises and activities to be done at home. Home Therapy Services

For some patients with speech-language and swallowing difficulties, travelling to the clinic for assessment and therapy is difficult due to their declined general condition or lack of support to enable frequent travel to the clinic premises.

ISSW provides Speech-Language and Swallowing Therapy services at the nursing home of the patient on request. Certain objective tests may still need to be done in the clinics ( such as VFS or FEES), but therapy subsequently can be continued at the nursing home of the patient. This is particularly a preferred option when the patient is either
too frail to travel or has no support available to bring him/her on
a regular basis for treatment at the clinic.
